A tale of two governors.
Here's how Acting Gov. (and Senate President) Dick Codey reacted to Janet "The system worked/failed" Napolitano's handling of the would-be terrorist attack on Flight 253, via the Star Ledger:
"Based on the handling of this entire affair, I think it's time for you to consider stepping down and making room for an individual with more law enforcement and counterterrorism experience to take the reins at the Office of Homeland Security," Codey wrote in a letter. "The entire episode was handled poorly, from start to finish."
Here's how Gov. Jon Corzine reacted:
A spokesman for Corzine said the governor "wholeheartedly supports the secretary."
"He still believes she's the right person for the job," spokesman Robert Corrales said.
And we wonder why our governor was defeated in his bid for reelection, and why Dick Codey has always remained such a popular figure ...
